DESCRIPTION
Dave Gibbons pencils and inks; cover; 1984; image size 10" x 15"

Classic 80's Green Lantern cover by Gibbons, only a couple years before he would cement himself as one of the defining artists of his era with his and Alan Moore's Watchmen. Great image of Hal Jordan in the mouth of The Shark. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition, there is a barely noticeable bend about a third of the way up from the bottom. Signed by Gibbons.

Artist Information

Dave Gibbons is a self taught English Comic book artist, who began in the industry doing pencils for British underground comics. Gibbons later grew to fame illustrating pages for DC's Green Lantern and Doctor Who weekly published by Marvel. Dave Gibbons most notable projects was the highly admired Watchmen (1986) written by Alan Moore.
