Sekowsky/Anderson robot cover; 2nd app. of the Justice League; 1st app Xotar
Brave and the Bold #29 features the Justice League of America's second appearance as they take on the time-traveling threat of Xotar the Weapons Master — who's become convinced that one of Wonder Woman's old diaries confirms that he traveled to the past and defeated the JLA. Xotar is introduced in style, too, with a brilliant cover illustration by Mike Sekowsky and Murphy Anderson that really ushers in the Silver Age of DC. You won't see Superman or Batman on that cover, though, since the executives were still worried about their two biggest attractions being overexposed. They're both in the story, though, alongside Snapper Carr as the team's token hipster teen sidekick.
