Packed with action and pathos this issue is a true classic in the series, as Havok struggles to come to terms with his newfound abilities, a revelation which dives him to the edge of suicide, the X-Men have to stave off the existential threat of the mutant-killing robots. Eventually Cyclops convinces the Sentinels that they must eradicate the source of all mutants' power, the sun itself, which send the Sentinels to their probable doom as they set off to attack the life-sustaining star.
