Spy Smasher #1 debuted with Charles Sultan's outstanding cover art as the Nazi-punching hero moved into his own title from a stint in Whiz Comics. This solo debut kept him busy, too, as Spy Smasher (aka Alan Armstrong) took orders from FDR in "The Black Angel" before taking on "Vikranz and the Death Ray" and "Sabotage in the Training Camps!"
