The cover of Wonderworld Comics #28 features the Flame, one of Fox Feature Syndicates' most-popular heroes of the Golden Era. The Flame has a fairly odd origin story for his time as the character was raised by mystical lamas that rescued him and trained him to manipulate fire, control his body temperature, and travel by materializing inside of a blaze. Along with the Blue Beetle, and Samson, Flame led the Fox stable until the imprint's demise in 1942. A 7.0 sold for $20,400 in 2024.
