File CopyDid you know that Lobo holds a special place in comic book history as the first Black character to headline his own comic book title? This groundbreaking series was published by Dell in 1966 - the same exciting year that Marvel introduced the Black Panther in Fantastic Four and Lt. Uhura made her debut in the new TV show Star Trek! Though Lobo's series only lasted two issues, it represented an important milestone. The stories were crafted by writer Don Arneson and brought to life by illustrator Tony Tallarico.
