Following in the wake of the Flash by only a month or so, Silver Streak is considered to be the second super-speed-powered comic book character. The Streak's crime-fighting exploits provided excitement and action throughout the early 1940s. His book eventually evolved into the pulpy Crime Does Not Pay imprint, but this issue marked the only revival of the character after his disappearance in 1942 until after the turn of the century. This book boasts a typically chaotic Golden Age pulp-flavored cover, with all the typical elements: the mildly kinky woman in peril, two separate brawls, dynamite, fire, explosions and, for no extra cost to you, the reader, a hawk attack.
