HOW TO PLACE YOUR ORDER: Fill in all information requested on the on-line order form and click the "Send Order" button. If you would like to add more items, click your browser's "back" button to continue shopping. Please note that all prices are in U.S. currency, and do not include shipping and handling or insurance. After submitting your order, you will receive a confirmation. We will then contact you with a personal email detailing the amount of shipping and insurance. If sales tax applies to your purchase, we will also let you know the amount at that time.
If payment is not received within 7 days, the item(s) will be returned to stock. If payment is made by money order, your item(s) will be shipped within 5-7 business days after receipt of payment. If payment is made by check, we will hold the item for you until our bank clears your check. Please note that we cannot accept checks from foreign banks, as Metropolis incurs additional expense in depositing them. All checks must be drawn on a US bank, or orders will be held until additional costs are resolved.
Please note that Metropolis does not accept credit cards on orders over $10,000.
OUR SHIPPING POLICY: Please allow 5-7 business days for Metropolis to pull, pack and ship your order. We prefer to ship with and recommend FedEx. We've found that FedEx is both faster and more secure than the US Postal Service (USPS). Also, FedEx orders are shipped daily, while USPS orders are shipped on Fridays only. For RUSH DELIVERY, please select FedEx Standard Overnight or FedEx 2-Day delivery. Unless you do specifically state otherwise, items will be shipped by FedEx and insured if the shipment is within the U.S. Buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance. All orders shipped outside of the U.S. will be shipped by FedEx or USPS. Please note that International USPS does not offer tracking.

OUR RETURN POLICY: We're certain you'll be happy with your merchandise. We take extra care to fully describe our items, including any flaws. If you have any questions regarding any of the items you are ordering, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org before placing your order. If the rare occasion arises where you feel you must return an item, please contact us for return instructions within ten (10) days (by phone or email) of receipt of your item(s). Upon our receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will issue a refund or credit for your item(s) if returned in the same condition as it was when originally sent to you, excluding shipping/insurance costs. Buyer is responsible for return shipping/insurance costs, which will not be reimbursed for any reason. Returned merchandise must be received by us within seven (7) days of the date from which you contact us regarding the return.
When returning merchandise, please ship your books in the same packaging Metropolis used to send your order. Be sure all cardboard slabs are taped tightly to prohibit movement of the books between them. Insurance and delivery confirmation of returns is entirely your responsibility. Books returned to Metropolis in packaging other than our own or in packaging that has not been taped and sealed sufficiently will not be accepted. All "in person" sales (conventions, in office etc.) are final. There are no returns, refunds, credits, exchanges accepted on "in person" sales. The only exception is explained below in the Unrestored Guarantee section.
Please also note, there are no returns on Time Payments for any reason. If you would like to view the comics in which you are interested before making a Time Payment agreement, you may set up an appointment to visit the gallery or request scans. To reiterate, under no circumstance will refunds be given for Time Payment purchases.
OUR DAMAGE POLICY: We take extra precautions to pack our orders to prevent damage and breakage. If despite our efforts your order does arrive damaged, please do the following: If your order was delivered by FedEx, please contact Metropolis for instructions. If your order was shipped by U.S. Mail, take the entire order (all contents and all original packing material) to your local U.S. Post Office to file a claim. The U.S. Post Office will send the claim to us for processing. Do not repack and do not mail the damaged items back to us. This will void the U.S. Post Office insurance and we will not be able to give you a refund.
GRADE GUARANTEE: All comics are carefully and strictly graded by Metropolis Collectibles owners Vincent Zurzolo or Stephen Fishler. They use Overstreet standards to grade each book. Metropolis does not guarantee that other dealers or CGC will grade Metropolis graded comics the same. Under no circumstance does Metropolis take a return based on a difference of opinion from another dealer or CGC. Customers have 10 days to return any raw comic they do not want. If customers are interested in CGC grades they should only buy CGC graded comics.
UNRESTORED GUARANTEE: Metropolis guarantees that only books described as restored are restored. Before buying please read the comments field for the comic(s) you are interested in. In the rare case you discover a book Metropolis sold you as unrestored is restored Metropolis will give you a 100% refund within the first 30 days. After 30 days Metropolis offers a store credit redeemable toward any comic book purchase. This policy does not extend to any books that contain comments indicating any type or form of restoration. We consider books graded by CGC and placed into a blue, Universal holder to be unrestored. Customers are responsible for any expenses incurred in the discovery of restoration or shipping costs.
CGC & 3RD PARTY GRADER SALES: Please note that although we do accept returns on our regular stock, all sales of comic books noted as graded by the Comic Guarantee Corporation and sealed in the CGC protective plastic casing, or any other sales of comic books graded and sealed by a 3rd Party Grader, are final.
Although the following is very rare, due to the nature of the acrylic CGC holders, minor chipping and cracking of the holder may occasionally occur during shipping. Metropolis takes great pains to pack comics in a careful and protective manner, and our packaging methods have been painstakingly tested with FedEx to ensure we meet the highest standards of safety and stability. However, as cracking and chipping on CGC holders is quite common, Metropolis cannot guarantee the condition of the CGC holder. Metropolis cannot accept returns on CGC books due to holder damage that does not affect the grade, value or condition of the comic itself.
As Metropolis maintains an inventory of over 150,000 comics, we employ a stock code and label system that ensures the correct copy of each comic is sent with the correct order. This system does require a Metropolis inventory label to be affixed to the back of each CGC holder. The label neither damages the holder nor affects the integrity of the book itself, and may be removed with over-the-counter label removal solvents such as Goo Gone. However, some collectors prefer an unmarked CGC holder for their books. Customers may request for the Metropolis label to be removed from their CGC purchase for a processing fee of $5 per book. Please allow an additional 7-10 days to process label-removal requests.
TIME PAYMENTS: In response to overwhelming demand, Metropolis offers Time Payment options to our customers. While these payment options are not available for every book in our inventory, they are available for the majority of our stock. There is a $200 minimum per order for all options. All Time Payment orders carry a 20% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. Options range from 30 to 90 days depending on the desired item(s). All books will remain in our possession until full payment is received.
